GOTOSOLAR, a Solar DAO project operator and owner, is announcing the first PV solar plants implementation in Kazakhstan: 4 MW in the north-west area and 4 MW in the southern area.

"We have studied about 30 projects with a single plant capacity from 500 kW to 10 MW in 15 countries around the world, being focused on the selection of projects at the 'ready to build' stage for further construction.

Finally, we have made a difficult decision not to purchase project companies offered in the market as we planned. We decided to implement our own projects to get the highest return with the lowest risk instead." said Dmitriy Solodukha, ?EO and founder of GOTOSOLAR.

The project will be backed not only by SDAO token holders, but also by external financing to launch PV solar plants with more capacity. Thus, we are to save about $50,000 per MW since the total development costs will be less than $5,000 for 1 MW.

The GOTOSOLAR team has already applied for a tariff bidding following the new rules published by Kazakhstan's authorities in March 2018. Public auctions will take place on May 28th (for the northwest area) and on June 6th (for the southern area). Until the end of August, electricity purchase contracts are expected to be signed and secured for the next 15 years.

Solar DAO Community is the world's first blockchain fund established for PV solar plants funding. The project was launched by CEO of GOTOSOLAR Dmitriy Solodukha and his team in 2017. Solar DAO allows anyone with a small budget to join solar energy projects. The preliminary ICO took place in July – August 2017.

As the ICO was canceled, the official token release has been completed. Currently, only a small number of tokens are still available for purchase from current token holders. Learn more here
