Sparton Introduces Latest Member Of Its Digital Compass Family
Jackson MI (SPX) Oct 22, 2008 Sparton has announced the SP3002D Digital Compass, the newest member of its next generation digital compass family. The Sparton SP3002D provides many of the enhanced performance features but at a lowered price. The SP3002D was developed for price sensitive customers who have applications that do not require the full set of features and the level of accuracy provided by the SP3004D. Standard features of the Sparton SP3002D include True North Heading Indication, 2-D and 3-D Manual Calibration Capability, Full 360 degree tilt compensated Bearing, Pitch, and Roll Capability, Rapid Initialization, Selectable Baud Rate (up to 115,200 Baud) and Full Encapsulation. Sparton digital compasses are used in a variety of unique and challenging applications including Precision Autonomous Vehicle Guidance, Weather Data and Ocean Surveillance, Enhanced GPS Navigation with Compass Integration, Vehicle Attitude Position and Orientation Sensing, and Magnetic Compass Navigation and Guidance Systems.
