Trimble Acquires Accutest For Vehicle Diagnostics And Telematics

Trimble has announced it has acquired Accutest Engineering Solutions Ltd based in Derbyshire, UK. Accutest is a leading provider of vehicle diagnostics and telematics technologies for the automotive industry.

The acquisition expands Trimble's ability to offer comprehensive solutions for a variety of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) applications including fleet management for light-duty and long-haul trucking. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Accutest manufactures products for system and software validation, hardware-in-the-loop, diagnostics, end-of-line test, remote on-board diagnostics, diagnostic access and monitoring, telematics and fleet management systems (FMS) access.

Accutest also provides expertise in the design and development of network communications, at both the system and component level, over Controller Area Network (CAN), Local Interconnect Network (LIN), Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) and FlexRay-bus networks.
