Ravenwood Golf Course Goes With ProLink For GPS Solutions
Chandler AZ (SPX) Mar 20, 2008 ProLink Solutions has announced that Ravenwood Golf Club (Victor, N.Y.) now features the ProLink Solutions ProStar GPS system used at many of the world's most famous golf courses and plans to participate in ProLink's exclusive national advertising opportunity. Ravenwood consistently ranks among New York's top daily-fee facilities and has earned rave reviews from Golf Digest course critic Ron Whitten. In fact, Golf Digest rated Ravenwood as the fifth best new upscale public course in America in 2003. The course features a variety of open and tree-lined holes, risk-reward opportunities, and thoughtfully placed hazards. Ravenwood has hosted numerous important events, including a U.S. Open qualifier, and is considered one of the state's sternest tests with a 140 USGA Slope rating from the back tees. "Ravenwood rewards careful course management and proper shot placement, so the ProLink system serves as a great guide for our players," said Mike Roeder, General Manager at Ravenwood Golf Club. "It also helps keep play moving, even on very busy days, and golfers enjoy the menu ordering and tournament scoring features. From the course's standpoint, ProLink simplifies management and boosts revenue, especially the advertising program." Ravenwood previously featured ProLink's GameStar GPS system. Last year, ProLink posted a renewal rate of approximately 90 percent on expiring leases. "New York is bastion of great American courses, and Ravenwood ranks alongside the finest -- we are proud to call the club a trusted partner," said Lawrence D. Bain, CEO of ProLink Solutions. "Our system is designed to benefit both golfers and courses, making the game more enjoyable while adding revenue to operators' budgets. Additionally, with upscale facilities like Ravenwood in ProLink's portfolio, our advertising partners are able to reach a coveted consumer group few other media can deliver." With ProLink's patented, 10.4" high-resolution color screen -- the industry's largest -- Ravenwood's cart-mounted units display dynamic, easy-to-read graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers at Ravenwood will also be able to order food and beverage items with a touch of a button on the ProLink screen. Related Links ProLink GPS Applications, Technology and Suppliers
