NavCom Announces New Capabilities

Integrated StarFire is now simply activated via an Over the Air licensing system that sends a StarFire License via satellite directly to the StarFire capable receiver from NavCom's StarFire operations center. StarFire, NavCom's Global Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS), provides real-time global decimeter accuracy without a local base station.

NavCom Technology has announced new capabilities for the SF-3050 multi-frequency GNSS receiver and Sapphire GNSS OEM board.

In addition to the integrated StarFire/RTK GNSS capabilities, the SF-3050 and Sapphire now support single frequency, multi-constellation operation, heading and moving base station RTK operation that enables coordinated vehicle applications.

Several new features have also been added that significantly enhance the operation of the SF-3050 in Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) applications.

The SF-3050 and Sapphire each offer multi-constellation support for GPS, GLONASS and Galileo.

They also provide industry leading performance in GNSS receiver sensitivity and signal tracking as well as patented multi-path mitigation, interference rejection and anti-jamming capabilities. The SF-3050 supports a range of high-speed I/O, including Ethernet, Bluetooth, and USB capability.

Powered by the new Sapphire GNSS OEM board, the SF-3050 is a fully upgradeable GNSS receiver, allowing the receiver to upgrade from single frequency to multi-frequency through software optioning alone.

Integrated StarFire is now simply activated via an Over the Air licensing system that sends a StarFire License via satellite directly to the StarFire capable receiver from NavCom's StarFire operations center.

"These new capabilities offer significant new functionality and a variety of options to meet our customers' ever-changing needs," said Steve Wilson, NavCom's GNSS Business Manager.

"With this new software upgrade the SF-3050 and Sapphire now offer even greater flexibility and additional application choices including CORS, heading and coordinated vehicles, as well as projects that require single frequency operation."
