GyPSii Brings Mobile Location Lifestyle To Dopod Users In China
Amsterdam, Netherlands (SPX) Feb 12, 2008 GyPSii has partnered with Dopod in China to provide new and exciting location-based information and content features and services, for use on the mobile phone or via the Internet. The new services will be available to members of Dopod Club the exclusive online community for Dopod device users in China, when members download the GyPSii mobile client directly to their mobile device. GyPSii combines social networking, mobile, location and web 2.0 technologies to offer Dopod users a seamless mobile lifestyle experience - on their phone and via the web. Dopod customers can use GyPSii to create and share content, connect with friends and communities, search user content, people and points of interest, and get maps and directions - all from their mobile phone. Nokia And UC Berkeley Capture Real-Time Traffic Information Palo Alto CA (SPX) Feb 12, 2008 Nokia and UC Berkeley researchers have tested technology that could soon transform the way drivers navigate through congested highways and obtain information about road conditions. One hundred cars equipped with the GPS-enabled Nokia N95, and driven by students from the University of California, traveled a 10-mile stretch of highway near San Francisco to show how real-time traffic information can be collected from the GPS feed, while preserving the privacy of the devices' owners. |
